About Us
After working in municipal management for 24 years, we decided to make a life
change. We lived in the panhandle of Texas in 1979 - 1981 and loved the people, the
climate, the geographical proximity to the Rockies and our families in the Dallas - Ft.
Worth area. So this is where we decided to settle.
This photo, like many on my site's cover pages, have been favorites of mine or of
my close friends. Perhaps as you browse through my galleries, you'll find
something that will speak to your soul as well.

A significant part of our decision
to move back to Texas from the
northeast was a deeply felt need
to reestablish our spiritual roots.
While we love our friends in New
Hampshire, we never found a
church home. Here in Canyon, TX
we have quickly begun to find a
place with the University Church
of Christ.
Rotary became a major part of my
life while we were living in New
Hampshire, and my commitment
to Rotary and its goals has not
changed. We are looking forward
to the Rotary international
Convention in Salt Lake City, UT
in June 2007 as a time to meet
old friends and new friends while
learning more about Rotary's
worldwide programs to promote
world understanding and peace.
Otherwise, we stay busy with our
two daughters and six
grandchildren. There is so much
to recommend about Canyon and
the area that you'll just have to
visit their websites to learn more.
I hope you'll enjoy my photography
as much as I have enjoyed
creating it. I would love for you to
purchase copies to offer beauty
and inspiration every day.

Philosophy of Photography
|
Over the years I have found my greatest satisfaction in creating words and images that brought peace, or thoughtfulness, or beauty in some form into the world. On the photographic front, I have slowly added equipment that I felt was necessary to capture images that inspire me; however, not having all the experience or technical equipment to alter images, I found that I worked harder at making my images as perfect a representation of my intended view as possible in the first capture. As a result, minor blemishes become part of the reality of the scene. We life in an imperfect world, but through our artistic efforts, we can create images that instill a love of the beauty that surrounds us. Photography should touch the soul of the viewer at the emotional level and evoke memories that bring pleasure.
Now, having said all that, there is also a time and place for images that disturb and shake us out of our lethargy. These images may bring confusion or even revulsion as we view them, but in doing so, they should also cause us to think and examine our lives and our world with a renewed resolve to make both better.
